Produced in Yugoslavia as the country’s domestic replacement for the German K98 and built on the large-ring Mauser 98 action with a 5-round internal magazine. The rifle features a full-length wood stock with handguard, hooded front sight, RPK-style rear sight, and is marked with the Yugoslav crest and “M48” on the receiver, and it includes a leather sling. This example is exceptionally complete, coming with an M48 bayonet marked “Factory 44” in Serbian writing with sheath and frog, a leather ammunition belt storage pouch, a cleaning kit with canvas pouch, bore brush, oiler, and pull-through rope, as well as the factory certificate of authenticity and manuals. Condition is listed as excellent at approximately 98% with normal mechanical operation, while the bayonet is in very good condition and the cleaning kit remains serviceable.
